Keywest Shutters - welcome
Introduction
Keywest Shutters has successfully supplied shutters to both residential and commercial premises in London, Kent, Surrey, Essex and throughout the UK. Our shutters are custom made to fit windows and doors. We specialise in window shutters, solid shutters, louvre shutters and all interior shutters; either painted wood shutters or natural cedar wood shutters. We also supply shutters as room dividers and plantation shutters.
We now have a new selection of shutter ranges. These shutters have a unique style that will integrate with contemporary or traditional interiors. Our new, clean look shutter frame options allow for even inside recess fitting, allowing you to benefit from hidden magnet closure and less light infiltration.
The Shutters Buying Process and our Quick Quote
As Keywest Shutters are custom made, they are not as simple to design and measure as are curtains or blinds. Unless you really are an expert at measuring and fitting shutters, our best advice would be to let us undertake your whole shutter installation for you.
If you would like a rough idea of costing for your shutters, please go to our quick quote service. Alternatively, you can call us with your window dimensions and we can give you a quote for your chosen shutters over the telephone. If you wish, we can arrange for a free, no obligation survey for the fitting of shutters to be carried out at your premises.
The survey has two purposes. Firstly, the shutters must of course fit perfectly; so they will need to be measured accurately. Secondly, there are many ways to place shutter and you will need to be present to discuss the various options available for your shutters with our surveyor to ensure that the specification we provide meets your exact needs. You should not order a shutter survey if you cannot attend personally and ensure that your requirements for shutters are fully understood.
The surveyor will be able to price your shutter installation accurately after measuring. You can place your order for shutters there and then. Upon ordering, we will require a 50% deposit, with the balance due upon the completion of the fitting of your shutters.
Unfortunately, we cannot survey openings that are not finished with accuracy. For example: openings with no plaster, incomplete tiling, missing window sills etc. If you intend to carry out any changes or alterations in the near vicinity of your windows, or to your windows (e.g. new flooring, new carpet or replacement windows and frames etc.) these changes may have an effect on your windows when measuring for shutters. Please ensure you carry out any such alterations prior to arranging a survey as although shutters can be shortened after they are made, it is best not to do so.
We do offer a DIY discount for fitting your own shutters. It is possible to fit our shutters yourself and many people do so, very successfully. However, there are many pitfalls and this approach to shutter installation is only recommended for those of you with considerable DIY skills. Call us now for information about our custom shutters, wooden shutters and louvre shutters.
